A lecture under the bridge

Imagine a situation: you have only one day of life left. Tommorow you must come to a square where you will be put to death. You’d probably want to spend time with your close ones, tell them something important. Or maybe to stay in a beautiful place and think about the world and yourself. One last time.

Our entire life is one big day before the execution. Aging is the executioner. Aging has no mercy for anyone. It kills everyone who is not killed by other circumstances. Surprisingly few people ask the following questions: “is it possible not to get acquainted with death? Can we stop aging?”

On September 29 under the Gorky Park bridge in Moscow Open Longevity conducted “The Arrow of Time” performance expressing, perhaps, the most important idea for all of us.

Everyone was invited to mark a number of years they would like to live on a timeline. The timeline consisted of numbers 70, 80, 100, 120, 200, 1000 and the sign of infinity. The squares were given to men, and circles to women. Green color was given to those who were less than 30 years old, pink to those whose age was between 30 and 60 and yellow one to those who were more than 60. It was a very cold evening but nonetheless people came to the event and voted. Most of them voted for immortality.

After that me and Dmitry Veremeenko gave lectures on life extension.

We urge all the transhumanists to perform “The Arrow of Time” event or something similar. Let’s create art in the name of immortality!
Tomorrow you don’t have to go to the place where they are going to execute you. Spend this day avoiding death. Take a plane, inject an antidote, become dangerous for those who want to kill you.

Leave sentiments for later. Spend one day to get thousands of days. This is what transhumanism is about: spend thousands of days to get millions of days.

It is art, a creative act that will help us convince others that life is beautiful and it is worth fighting for.
