A new wave of targeted attacks on wealth symbols is emerging. Rising inequality and climate disasters may be fueling a violent shift.
A String of Attacks
Yesterday, three luxury yachts on the Miami river caught fire and burned. Two of the yachts belonged to a single owner.¹ The owner believes she was targeted.
That same day, in Oregon, a Tesla dealership was attacked by gunfire. At least seven shots were fired and three cars were damaged.²

While the motivation for this has not been confirmed, we are aware of other Telsa dealerships that have been targeting across Oregon and the nation for political reasons,” Tigard police said.
Earlier this week, seven Tesla charging stations in Boston were torched in a deliberate attack.³ The recent attacks against Tesla were not confined to American soil — in Toulouse France, yet another arson attack destroyed a dozen more Teslas.⁴
