I shouldn’t have to say this but a child born into poverty is not a weed in a garden. A disabled person is not a blight on society. A member of the LGBTQ+ community is not vermin.
Casual Eugenics
If you’ve ever saved seeds to plant in a garden you’ve performed basic eugenics. It’s where you select seeds from the best specimens in your care so that your next harvest might be stronger, more resilient and more productive.
Yet if you think about this practice, you’ll soon realize the logic behind it has also been used to drive some of history’s darkest policies.
