The Voices That We Rarely Hear

Those who depend on the mainstream media for news and opinion will rarely hear the voices of those calling for peace. They will not be exposed to the solid reasoning or the historical documents that dispel the “logic” behind the need for ongoing, endless wars.

They will believe the lies told to them by whoever is President, Secretary of State, or some retired military general (who has earned a living by cycling through the revolving door of the public and private sectors).

Or, they will have reached the point where they no longer believe anyone in government, and instead place their faith in private militias or hate groups, that give them a sense of power along with a chosen set of “others” to blame as the real source of the nation’s woes.

They will never stop to think that their thoughts have been hijacked. They have been taught to follow, without question, the narrative provided by the mainstream media.

The news anchors are interviewing the “experts”; after all, what is there to question?

Bombarded with stories of fires and floods, violence and victims, credit card scams and consumer alerts, and the never-ending threat of terrorists invading our territory, it’s easy to see how everyday people perceive…
