Blockchain technology has limitations and 10 years after its creation does not solve many real world problems, but the protocol inspired other decentralised protocols that solve real world problems, today!

ID & Ticketing are one of the main blockages for MaaS integrations, the lack of trust affects the handling of this sensitive data.

At Open Transport we know how to solve ID, ticketing and billing with a federated protocol. This protocol allows a consortium to share ticketing data that can be used to unlock station gates, unlock vehicles or be used for payment clearing. The protocol allows the consortium to share anonymized IDs that can be used to store driving license checks that would allow easy renting and leasing world-wide without unnecessary registers and checks.

MaaS must be convenient to the user and this solution could radically speed it’s adoption.

The technology is decentralised but not public, it is controlled equally by every member of the consortium that must approve the entrance of new members using the protocol itself.

Private data is not shared and for that reason is 100% safe.
