Issue 5, Summer 2017 Out Now

The latest issue of Open Water Magazine is out and live at www.openwatermagazine.com. In this issue Coach Jason Bryce reflects on the Rio Olympics and looks at 5 Things We Learned About Open Water Swimming From #Rio2016. After her fight with cancer, Barbara Mockford has re released her book, An Unshakable Belief. We talk to Dermatologist, Dr Eugene Tan and gives us his tips on Sunscreens, Open water swimming and being Sunsmart.

Our focus then shifts to an epic 60km swim across Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay to raise funds and awareness for Will Murray who became a paraplegic after a tragic accident. We speak with one of the swimmers who made the journey and talk about his lead up and the struggle through such an epic swim.

We have a great race preview of “Swim the Ruby” in Wanaka New Zealand, as well as a great article of one swimmers journey to Turkey to take on the Dardanelles Straight to swim from Europe to Asia.
