We can’t believe we are turning 10 this year! If you would like to be a part of our legacy in the open data and data rights space, helping solve some of the urgent challenges of our time while creating more just societies and fair economies, we would love for you to join the Open Data Charter Advisory Board.

The Open Data Charter (ODC) is overseen by a governance structure designed to reflect our position as a trusted space that articulates, advocates and connects governments and organisations to deliver impact from open data while protecting fundamental rights. We hope to make data open and freely available, while protecting the rights of people and communities.

Since our beginnings, we have collaborated with governments and expert organisations working to open up data, based on a shared set of principles. Our governance structure reflects our multi-stakeholder nature, including an Advisory Board (Board), with responsibilities for providing oversight for the performance of the ODC team, who run the initiative; and a broader group of Charter Stewards (which includes government adopters and endorsing institutions) who support the delivery of the ODC strategy and collaborate to spread the Charter Principles.

Interested? Please read the full ODC Board Terms of Reference and send your CV and cover letter, explaining why you want to join the ODC Board, to recruitment@opendatacharter.org. Remember we have 2 spots on our Advisory Board to fill!

Deadline for submissions: Feb 21, 2025
