Multidimensional Data and Co-Creation: Benefits for government and industry - an international conference

On Thursday 22nd November in Delft , the OpenGovIntelligence Project is holding an international conference aimed at policy makers and practitioners in government who want to maximise the benefits of their own data.

Multidimensional Data and Co-Creation: Benefits for Government and Industry is a one day event on November 22nd 2018 to discuss the role of linked data technologies and co-creation in improving public services.

The conference will run from 9:00am — 4:00pm.

Following the evolution of the European Horizon 2020 OpenGovIntelligence project, the conference will present on technologies that enable government to use their own data in an interoperable and comparable way to international standards. It will also explain how co-creation can be used to better design and deliver services.

The format of the day will include three invited talks, panel discussions and sessions involving the technical tools, as well as opportunities for attendees to discuss and present their efforts and experience of Linked Open Statistical Data.

Speakers include:

Linda van den Brik
  • Linda van den Brink, Geo-information standards advisor @geonovum, spatial data on the Web #geo4web. Linda will be speaking about Spatial Data on the Web.
  • Darren Barnes, Open Datasets Manager at the Office of National Statistics, UK. He will be presenting on what the Government Statistical Service landscape looks like and how multidimensional data can improve the situation for both statistical producers and users alike.
  • Speaker on co-creation (details to be confirmed)

There will also be a sessions on:

  • Technical tools developed within the project to enable multidimensional statistical data and the benefits it brings
  • The role of the co-creation framework
  • Pilot examples, showing real world benefits of using the project tools to impact public services
