OGI participation in the workshop held by SONNETS in Koln, Germany

Last 24th May, the H2020 project SOcietal Needs aNalysis and Emerging Technologies in the public Sector — SONNETS held in Koln (Germany) the workshop on “Innovating the public sector with emerging ICTs — development of research directions” (http://www.sonnets-project.eu/content/sonnets-workshop-%E2%80%9Cinnovating-public-sector-emerging-icts-%E2%80%93-development-research-directions%E2%80%9D).

Further SONNETS, the workshop had the presence of H2020 projects Simpatico (https://www.simpatico-project.eu/), WeGovNowEU (http://www.wegovnow.eu/) and OpenGovIntelligence OGI (www.opengovintelligence.eu).

Combining efforts, the projects discussed how EU can renovate the way the public sector operates. The experts recommended a concrete set of actions that will place the former in the front line of tackling societal challenges. As an example, emerging ICTs and other trending activities are necessary to be used to meet urgent societal and public sector needs.
