How to participate:
During the event, registering a domain on the Linea mainnet will automatically be considered as participating in the event (except for .open.name and whitelist registrations).
Event Period:
2023, Sept.20 00:00:00 (UTC) — 2023, Sept.27 00:00:00 (UTC)
Event A: Hash is Key
Counting starts from [00:00:00 (UTC) on September 20, 2023],
when the event begins:
When 100 domains have been registered:
The last 2 digits of the block hash for the 100th domain are the lucky numbers.
Ex.
If the random numbers are “03” in the block hash of
0x0cb19a86b619e8c736d543d03fd1b38cad057fcf2d192daaba6c02fbfc109603,
The 3rd registered user will be the lucky registrant and will receive 10% of all registration fees in this stage (counting from the first to the 100th domain after deducting any referral commissions, discounts, etc.).
When 500 domains have been registered:
The last 3 digits of the block hash for the 500th domain are the lucky numbers.
Ex.
If the random numbers are “214” in the block hash of
0xb38b5bc001abdd11cdd4ace26c951917eca27051dad13e48754df0e27dd214,
The 214th registered user will be the lucky registrant and will receive 10% of all registration fees in this stage (counting from the 101st to the 500th domain after deducting any referral commissions, discounts, etc.).
When 1,000 domains have been registered:
The last 3 digits of the block hash for the 1000th domain are the lucky numbers.
Ex.
If the random numbers are “684” in the block hash of

The 684th registered user will be the lucky registrant and will receive 10% of all registration fees in this stage (counting from the 501st to the 1000th domain after deducting any referral commissions, discounts, etc.).
Subsequently, for every 1000 registered domains as a stage:
The last 4 digits of the block number where the final domain at this stage is registered will be the lucky numbers, and so on.
The reward will be also 10% of the registration fees (excluding invitation commissions, discounts, etc.) for domains registered during that stage.
1If the extracted lucky number is greater than the number of registrations, continue selecting digits by removing the last digit until you obtain a winning registration number. For example, when the 500th register is:

As above, If the selected three digits are 684, which exceeds the actual registrations, continue selecting digits by removing the last digit until you reach 486 as the winning registration number.
2If, at the end of the event, the number of registrations does not meet the required domain count for that stage, the lucky draw for that stage’s reward will not be triggered.
Event B: Last Survivor
During the event, registering a domain on the Linea main net will automatically be considered as participating in the event (except for .open.name and whitelist registrations).
Reward:
20% of all registration fees during this event
Rules:
1The last eight digits of the registered domain’s address serve as the user’s “lucky number”. (If there are fewer than 8 digits, zeros are added to the end to make up the 8 digits).
ex. My address is:
0x0cb19a86b619e8c736d543d03fd1b38cad057fcf2d192daaba6c02fbfc109603
Then my lucky number is: 02109603
2The transaction hash of the last registered domain before September 27th at 00:00:00 (UTC+0) will be used as the “lottery hash”, and the time will be based on the Lineascan Timestamp.
ex. The transaction hash of the last registered domain is:
0xb38b5bc001abdd11cdd4ace26c951917eca27051dad13e48754df0e27dd214
Then the lottery hash is: 75427214
3Among all participant addresses, the address with the last eight digits(lucky number) closest to this number will be the lucky winner. The lucky winner will receive 20% of all registration fees during this event as a reward (excluding invitation commissions, discounts, etc.).
4The user with the smallest absolute difference between the lottery hash and their lucky number will be the winning user. (｜lottery hash minus user’s lucky number｜) If there is more than one match, the user with the larger last eight digits will be the winner. If the last eight digits are also the same, then the ninth digit of the address will be compared, and the user with the higher ninth digit will win, and so on.
Special Notes for the Event:
- All lucky rewards will be distributed within 48 hours after the end of the activity. The rewards will be in ETH (Linea) and will be sent to the address associated with the winning domain.
- This activity excludes domains with the .open.name suffix and those registered on the whitelist.
- This event is exclusively for domains mint on Linea.
