Introduction

A report by Happyness.me reveals that approximately 60% of the Indian workforce is unhappy in their current roles, not only pointing to an inconsistency between commitment and satisfaction levels but also to the fact that people are afraid of exploring new things.

To understand more about this, Mr. Saurabh Nanda, along with Mr. Siddhant Chaudhary, co-founder of Life Plugin, who has impacted the lives of thousands of youth, had a comprehensive discussion on the YouTube channel of Open Source Mentorship.

Status-Quo in Life

The status quo is a situation where people tend to remain in the current situation even if a better option is available. Youth are suffering from the status quo in life as they commit to things at a very early stage of life without even exploring anything else. They set a goal for themselves at the very beginning of their career and dedicate themselves completely to achieving that goal. However, when they finally reached that goal, they realised it was not worth it. Our society is equally responsible for this, as they look down upon those who like to try different things in life to make more informed decisions about their lives.

In today’s world of too many opportunities leading to confusion among youth is another problem discussed.

Ways to Let Go of Your Limitations

Mostly, we are all capable enough to achieve our goals in life, but the problem lies in our lack of ability to do everything simultaneously. To break this status quo and avoid a dead end in life, we should explore various paths in life before dedicating our lives to one. While doing this, we also need to figure ourselves out. It is always important to surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who understand and believe in what we are doing, as learning comes from our surroundings. As we all know, change is the only constant; therefore, we should consistently try to evolve into a better version of ourselves. Nurturing good relationships is equally important, and if needed, we must also be willing to let go of our dying relationships.

Conclusion

Undoubtedly, there are challenges in figuring out yourself, and the first challenge comes from those closest to you, like your parents, but once you gained the confidence of all your well-wishers, they also let go of all restrictions from you. Taking risks while experimenting with various things is the only way to success; others’ success can guide, but ultimately we are all travelling our own unique journey.

Our unwavering commitment is essential for personal growth, which is not only limited to the material aspects of life but also includes our health, relationships, value system, and spirituality.
