OpenSwap Upgrade: Unlocking 40+ Wallet Choices

The OpenSwap team had an important upgrade recently which is new integrations of WalletConnect, as well as Binance wallet.

Through this upgrade, users can now connect to OpenSwap via more than 40+ supported wallet choices for both PC and mobile users. (on top of the original MetaMask App in-app browser).

Our team understands that community members would like to have more wallet choices when using OpenSwap, and we will continue to make new upgrades and expansions that will continually make the OpenSwap user journey smoother.

For Mobile Users

Connecting to WalletConnect with mobile is easy, once the user is on OpenSwap, simply:

  1. Click on the “Connect Wallet” button at the bottom left of the screen.

2. Then once the pop-up shows, click on the “WalletConnect” button.

3. After which, the user should see an interface which by default would be set under the “Mobile” tab, where they can click and choose from a menu of 40+ wallet providers. Alternatively, the user can also click on the “QR Code” tab, which would allow the user to scan the QR code using any supported wallet provider from WalletConnect.

4. The chosen wallet provider may ask the user for permission or confirmation. After the required actions have been completed on the wallet provider side, the user can now go back to OpenSwap.

5. On which OpenSwap should indicate the wallet is now connected, and the user can now perform their desired activities on OpenSwap.

For PC Users

Connecting to WalletConnect via your PC is also easy, once the user is on OpenSwap, simply:

  1. Click on the “Connect Wallet” button on the top right corner of the screen, which would allow the user to connect a wallet to OpenSwap.

2. Then once the pop-up shows, click on the “WalletConnect” button.

3. Then scan the QR code using any of the WalletConnect supported wallet providers (in this example — MetaMask on an iPhone).

4. Then here in this example with an iPhone, MetaMask is opened, the user can click on the button at the top right corner of the screen to enable their phone camera to perform a scan.

5. Now after scanning the QR code, the chosen wallet provider may ask the user for permission or confirmation. To which, after the required actions have been completed on the wallet provider side, OpenSwap will close the prompt automatically.

OpenSwap will Continue to Improve Accessibility

This is an important and necessary upgrade for OpenSwap as it allows our users to access our platform through more than 40 wallet choices. Accessibility and ease of use are definitely important keys to success for any DeFi projects, and the OpenSwap team will continue to improve the platform’s accessibility, along with other future upgrades.
