OpenSwap Year-End Letter: Reflecting on Progress, and Plans for 2022

Dear Beloved Trolls,

The present year is coming to an end soon making a place for a new year. 2021 had been an exciting year for everyone in the crypto space, and was a hugely important year for the OpenSwap project because it is our start to all the exciting things to come!

It’s a great privilege to thank all our supporters and community members for being there for us during the initial phase where intensive #BUIDLing and hard work outweigh and outshines the charts. Hence, we’d want to take this opportunity to send a sincere “Thank You” to all those who are helping us get over the first hump.

2021 was a year of incredible growth and evolution to both the OpenSwap project as well as the greater DeFi and NFT space, and we have never been so excited about the future. The OpenSwap team will continue to spearhead on-chain liquidity’s revolution process with our new ideas, rapid modifications, and unique-to-DeFi offerings that will make the OpenSwap project go parabolic in 2022.

Progress and Plans

It had been almost 4 months since OpenSwap successfully conducted our IDO on the Impossible Launchpad, a great milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance from the Impossible Finance team and backing from the community. And with the continued support from our strategic backers, and technology contributor IJS Technologies, the OpenSwap team was able to deliver the initial basket of core technologies including Spot Priority Queue, Spot Range Queue, and Hybrid Smart Router. These initial technologies serve as important opening moves and will greatly contribute to the OpenSwap ecosystem as we transit into the middle game in 2022.

As a community-focused project, OpenSwap has also held a wide variety of interactive community events where community members were encouraged to do fun tasks while getting incentivized. In the coming year, we will continue to run more lucrative community-focused activities such as staking and farming campaigns, trading contests, and much more!

We have many ideas lined up next year, from static things our supporters and community members may already be aware of, such as the upcoming introduction of a new liquidity queue type (aka. the Rug-Pull Killer) and single asset cross-chain bridge that would allow Bridge Troll NFT holders to serve as node validators, as well as other super cool stuff we have been keeping up our sleeves the whole time — technologies of God-Slaying level (imagine a liquidity queue that works like a time machine, allowing you to go back in time and purchase tokens at a pre-pump price?!?!? 🙃).
