Without a doubt Canada is one of the top destination for economic immigration — people moving to Canada for economic opportunities. In order to increase the benefits of economic immigration for smaller communities, the Federal Government announced the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot in the summer of 2019.

Community Driven

Individual community programs are responsible for assessing whether prospective candidates fit the economic needs of these community, have a genuine employment opportunity and intend on staying in the community.

Recommended candidates are then referred to the federal government for a final decision. Accepted candidates will be provided with settlement services and mentoring opportunities through the individual community programs.
