Opera Sneaker Onboards An ATL Artist Family

Bilal is an Atlanta-based artist that has been creating digital art on a Samsung phone & Microsoft paint for 12 years. Bilal’s art curiosity started at a young age. Coming from a family of artisans Bilal nurtured his talents whenever he had time. Bilal would venture into NFTs in 2021 after hearing how artists can leverage NFTs to control intellectual property rights and to enable exposure to the global market. Non-fungible tokens offer artists the opportunity to forge a deeper relationship with collectors and explore deeper dynamics in art-collector-fit. NFT artists reserve a higher probability of getting their art in front of most cherished collectors that may have been previously unobtainable.

As a Palestinian man living in America, Bilal’s personal story is a message to the value of art. Bilal joined the OS community after the agency’s support for #63A4P, a historic NFT that brought together 63 artists to raise funds for medical supplies in Palestine.

By having conversations with artists in the OS community, Bilal was able to start creating NFTs on OpenSea.

Bilal and his wife, Hanan, are both artists living in Atlanta. Hanan Arman is a major influence on his art. She utilizes watercolor and sharpie to create illustrations of women. Together, they represent the future of art that bridges the digital and physical world to improve communities.

“Ahmadou Bamba” An Historic NFT Sale

OS is a collective of art aficionados making art history together. We create and collect art to catalog stories that our community values. OS Art Fund purchased its first digital art asset on September 15, 2021 to initiate a treasury that funds art as a social good. The sale occurred at an auction by Art Gallery Auction House in Telegram.

The art piece purchased is Bilal Arman’s artwork Ahmadou Bamba, his first NFT sale.

Ahmadou Bamba is scheduled to be featured at FUTURE GALLERY in Atlanta marking Opera Sneaker’s first physical art exhibition. NFTs revolutionize intellectual property rights and as artists live in an increasingly digital world digital property rights will take center stage. NFTs represent a wealth-defining movement unlocked by the data and art has emerged as the most prominent use case.

Art and technology are catalysts for catapulting civilization and propelling humanity forward. In fact, art is technology. Art, like an algorithm, is instructions used to interpret data. Art can represent data that is intangible like a period in time or a spiritual connection to a story. Due to this, art has always been a store of value and NFTs are the newest tools to procure, and harness to communicate intrinsic and extrinsic value.

Art collectors, unlike art buyers, have a passion for setting trends with art.
