The Fall is Near
Love isn’t about holding hands, sharing untold tales
I have a secret,
A secret that doesn’t let me sleep,
I always had it safe and secure,
A secret that is not mine to tell.
It took a lot of courage and patience
to bury something that doesn’t belong
to me within the deep dead shells of my cold chest.
Love isn’t about holding hands, sharing untold tales,
crying over separations or be it making love.
Love is being content with the silence that fills
up the space between the veins and the heart.
If it doesn’t let you live your individuality,
if it doesn’t consume you,
if it doesn’t break the shackles of the fear of being betrayed,
the fall is near.
