Bristol Pirates — Top of the Tree for Christmas?

Under 13 youth football team Bristol Pirates have it all to play for this Saturday. After their 6–3 win against the previously unbeaten league leaders, they only need a draw this weekend to be joint top at Christmas.

At the time of writing, the Pirates have the strongest goal difference in the league and a success this weekend would give them a seven match winning streak.

Many observers recognise that the team has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks and kit sponsors, Square Systems, are eager to point out the correlation between their newfound success and the company’s sponsorship. The Pirates are undefeated in their new kit, which is emblazoned with the words ‘Opinion8 — Voice of the Customer’.

A spokesman for the Bristol-based customer feedback company implied that the phrase was known for its hidden strength and that its liberal use may even assist the national side in Russia next year.
