Design is how it works!

This is one of the best design advice and it’s one of my favourite quotes.

I remember that I teased Apple and its fanboys while they implemented that notch type design back in 2017.

First Samsung teased them in an advertisement. 🤭

Then Google teased them about 3.5mm jack and here we go…

Now my experience

Even though I teased and resisted trying it out, my previous smartphone had a notch and the current one has a punch hole camera design without a 3.5mm headphone jack!

The question is do I actually care about it?

No. I don’t think so. After some days we don’t even notice this perfectly designed distraction. We know that there is something on our screen, but Nah!

Apple took the guts and did something which no one ever practised yet. And they won. Twice — notch and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Later every budget oriented and premium smartphone company implemented it on their flagships and within no time everyone gets used to it and it’s no longer a teasing point.

And here’s another quote that makes this design adaptation, which is one of the best enterprise design thinking examples.

The last best experience that anyone has anywhere, becomes the minimum expectation for the experience they want everywhere.
