Meetup #3 is right around the corner, it’s time you get to know our speakers.

Wandson Lisboa— Designer and Instagrammer

Wandson is a designer who daily uses Instagram to showcase his work and was recently on the cover of Time Out magazine.

Born in São Luís, Maranhão, this Brazilian made Porto his home. With both a degree in Social Communication and a post-graduation in Graphic Design, Wandson came to Porto to join a Master at the Fine Arts College of Porto, but his life took a major turn when he started using Instagram to showcase his work.

2015 was a good year for this creative as he was featured by the The Huffington Post as one of the “The 10 most creative Instagram accounts to follow”, which helped him get in the spotlight and get invitations from major brands.

Wandson doesn’t consider himself a digital influencer, even though his success on social media, and differs himself from the influencer label by stating his use of Instagram or Twitter to not revolve around lifestyle or blogging, but his opinions, ideas, humor and of course, showcasing his work.

His complete lack of interest in being a public figure is, perhaps, one of his most appealing features on social media, as his audience feels he communicates with brutal honesty and incredible creativity.

When asked about his creative process in an interview with UALMedia, Wandson promptly said he always casts his first idea aside, because those are the ordinary ideas everybody has.

Wandson has worked for massive brands such as RTP, Netflix, IKEA, NOS, among others.

With such an amazing path so far, we look forward to seeing Wandson’s talk (which will be in Portuguese!) on September 26th.
