Firstly a big thank you from all of us at OPP to all of you for taking part in our project and helping to create our Global OPP Open WiFi network.

At a glance:

  • Our Facebook community reached 1800+ likes
  • We’ve launched our GitHub page
  • Consultants and Advisor team announced
  • 5000+ WiFi hosts registered

1. Our Facebook community reached 1800+ likes

During the past week we have been focusing on our Facebook page and launched a campaign to attract people interested in becoming WiFi Hosts for our project. As results of our team’s effort, we have seen a wonderful growth, achieving over 1,800 likes in just one week. We have also run a Facebook ads campaign to spread the word about OPP Open WiFi, which has been received with great enthusiasm. We have noticed a lot of encouragement for the OPP Open WiFi project coming from areas where WiFi is still a luxury. On one hand, people who pay for their internet connection are happy to share their unused data with others in return for being paid, and on the other hand, people who can’t afford it, are happy to benefit from this exchange. Another great response has come from areas where the phone signal is very weak, and the satellite connections are expensive. We are still researching and reaching new audiences through paid ads to find out how people are struggling with their internet connection and how we can help, bringing new benefits to the OPP Open WiFi project.

We have asked our audience on Facebook to spread the word about OPP Open WiFi and with their help we have achieved an incredible organic reach of over 30,000 new people!

2. Introduction to our GitHub page

Our technical team has worked hard and put together a set of comprehensive documents to explain better how our project is going to work. As we already have a fully functional solution for businesses, we are currently focusing on developing the app for private use, which will be released at the end of summer. On our new GitHub channel, we will be uploading blue prints of the app and technical details of our business connectivity solutions, as well as the smart contracts and app updates.

3. Introduction of our advisors team

This week we have proudly announced our team of advisors, all with high experience in ICO launching and with backgrounds which highly qualify them. Jared Polites, our marketing advisor, has worked with over 40 ICOs so far, out of which the most notable are Gameflip, Elastos and TraDove.

Our blockchain advisor is George Han, an expert in tech start-ups, business strategies and financial management. His most noticeable contribution was to the Morpheus Labs blockchain project that raised over $10M worth of Ethers in their first ICO.

Aravinda Babu is our expert technology advisor, with a lot of experience in programming on multiple platforms, network security development and blockchain frameworks.

Last but not least, our security is taken care of by Jorge “George” Rodriguez, an ethical hacker who helps blockchain companies and multinational businesses to improve the security of their systems.

4. 5000+ WiFi hosts registered

Over the past weekend we sailed through the 5,000 “sign-up” mark. 5200 people have registered on our website, opened accounts with us in order to become a Hotspot Host, an Investor, or both. Thank you to each and every one of you. Your input is moving forward at a tremendous pace.

What are we excited about for the next few weeks?

In the coming 2 weeks we will work with our partners at Upholder to prepare our bounty program. This is where we run an incentivised program to call our community to action and get the word spread far and wide via social media. We are lucky to have such an engaged and positive community. I have no doubt that the growth generated by the bounty program will be huge!

Preparations for the Pre-Sale are well in hand. As mentioned — our Github account is active. We are using Github to share information about our technology with both the router-based tech and Smartphone app. We have also revised the White Paper to give more details about tech issues and of course to discuss our long-term revenue generation and business model.

We have been approached by a number of ICO pundits who would like to conduct interviews with members of the team. The first of these is due to be filmed in 10 days’ time.
