Opporty Updates: December 4–17, 2017
The Opporty team cares about its users, and we are working tirelessly to deliver more new features and bug fixes. Usability optimization and project upgrades are among our top priorities as we strive to make our website a welcoming place where users want to stay and interact. To achieve this goal, we are releasing more new features every day. From now on, we will share what’s new on Opporty on a weekly basis. Let’s get started!
Gamification 2.0
Our most significant update is Gamification 2.0. We released Gamification 1.0 in May 2017, and since that time the feature has made a huge leap forward. The core principle behind the feature is to provide user rewards.
In May, we successfully laid the groundwork for the new feature, and last week, we upgraded its functionality to an advanced level that rewards companies for participating in certain activities. Gamification 2.0 has a complex structure and comprehensive rules that stipulate a participant’s activity.
New Contract Deployed
Since our ICO is still under way, and Opporty’s token pre-sale is still live, we have deployed a new contract with a new holding period countdown. Another exciting update is that the minimum contribution is now 0.5 ETH, meaning that pretty much anyone can make a contribution.
Response Notification
For user convenience, we will send an email notification whenever someone leaves a response to an offer or request. Prior to this update, users had to access the website to check for new notifications about responses in their accounts.
Contributor Account Updates
While the presale is going on, our contributors are our primary focus. We hope they enjoy using our website while logged into their accounts. Our team has been working hard to release design updates and fix layout bugs in our contributors’ accounts.
UK Deployment Preparations and Release
Opporty is busy expanding to other countries, and the UK is the first on our list. Two weeks ago the team began preparing the server to smoothly deploy the UK version of Opporty’s website. And on the 15th of December, Opporty successfully launched in the UK.
Decentralized Escrow 1.0
Last week we released the first version of Opporty Decentralized Escrow. Our Decentralized Escrow procedure is aimed at protecting the interests of both clients and service providers and ensuring that the terms of a contract are followed and met.
The procedure allows businesses to close deals in a completely safe environment and achieve the desired results. In the event a dispute should arise between parties, the parties may choose to get it reviewed by community experts who will return their verdict. Disputes are always resolved on fairfield terms that satisfy both contracting parties.
Chat Bug Fixes
We have fixed bugs on the ‘Ask Questions’ and ‘Send Message’ buttons. Now the links on these buttons are active, which allows users to leave their questions after they complete the registration procedure. Also, if a user is not online to receive a message directly, they will receive an email notification whenever a message is left for them on Opporty.
Front-End Bug Fixes on the ICO Landing Page
We are aware that any layout bugs can hurt user experience and cause users to turn away. Fortunately, we detected some minor front-end bugs on our ICO landing page. Our team has fixed them so that our landing page leaves the best impression possible.
Admin Fixes
We are constantly working on improving our workflow and inner processes to better serve our users. For this purpose, we are performing some admin fixes, the latest of which concerned the optimization of our subscribers base, facilitating the process of searching for subscribers.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
