Hello friends!

The team at Opporty is continuing to develop our project, and we have been implementing advanced features on a regular basis. We now have a working functionality aimed at improving UX and stimulating users’ activities.

Since October 2018, 281 companies have registered at opporty.com, and 53 of them have agreed to accept payments in OPP tokens.

Our main targets

  1. We are currently focused on the site’s internal optimization. Our traffic has increased from 3,500 to 5,000 users per month (up by 35%).
  2. Our next important step is to update the enterprise page and personal accounts, to improve UI and UX. The page design will be updated and new fields will be added. After the update, users will be able to add more information to their profiles to better showcase their competence to potential customers. The planned changes will be implemented by July 1.
  3. At the project structure level, we are now actively working on business categories. Our analysis has shown that users find the existing category structure uncomfortable. This has prompted us to develop a new category concept.
  4. We have updated our blog to make it more reader-friendly, and we will be adding multiple posts in the coming months.

Key advancements

As of January 2019, we have improved the following functions of the platform:

  • When creating an offer, users can select multiple cities instead of a single city, opening the door to many new opportunities.
  • Please pay attention to the SIC field when making changes to your account. It is now possible to see the categories you belong to, right below the search bar.

Since September 2018, we have been focused on improving the design and functionality of individual User Accounts. We have made it possible to create private offers and requests.

Parties allowed to use this feature include:

  • Company-creator: a company that creates a private offer or a request.
  • Company-recipient: a company that receives an offer or a request.
  • User-creator: an authorized or unauthorized user who may create only a request for goods or services.

Here are some essential points and rules that demonstrate how the private offers/requests feature works:

  • If your company receives a private offer/request, you will see a notification in your company account.
  • Both companies and users may create private requests for other companies. Users may be authorized or unauthorized.
  • Private offers may be submitted only by registered companies. Users are not entitled to do this.
  • Private offers and requests are not displayed in the public catalog, however they are mentioned in the company’s profile (both creator’s and addressee’s) with the following details: company name or user first and last name, logo (if available), contact details (only for companies), link to the profile (only for companies).

The screenshot below shows what a private offer/request looks like for a company-recipient. We have enabled the “Answer” button for fast and convenient response to private offers/requests.

If someone other than a creator or a recipient clicks on the title of a private offer/request, they will see a pop-up notifying them that this offer/request is private and unavailable to them. They will also see an invitation to submit an offer/request, as shown in the screenshot below.

Our developers have also added a priority feature. When creating offers and requests, users can tick the “As Soon As Possible” box to emphasize the urgency of their offers and requests.

Offers and requests with high priority will be marked with a special icon in the catalog.
