$2 Digital Movies on Any Platform
Last year, Movies Anywhere rolled out the ability to sync your purchases across the major digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google, Fandango). A nice feature that allows you to purchase cheaper movies on Vudu and watch them in iTunes (or any other combo you like).
This becomes much more interesting when you combine it with Vudu’s Disc to Digital program.
Vudu allows you to scan a barcode from any movie you “own” and purchase a digital copy for $2.
However, you do not actually need the physical box, just need a image of a barcode, which you can generate online.
Slick Deals put together a list of working Blu Ray UPCs you can redeem with Disc to Digital and then transfer using Movies Anywhere.
What you need
- The barcode of a movie you want to watch
- A barcode image generator
- The Vudu mobile site
- A Movies Anywhere account linked to your Vudu account and wherever you want the movies to live
Bonus: have a friend who likes to purchase movies on iTunes while you prefer Amazon? Movies Anywhere is a great way to pool your libraries.
You can unlink an account and link a new one of the same type every 4 months. So, set a reminder to connect another friends library then.
