Fleeting Moments
In nature, as in life, there are many fleeting moments. I often sit in the garden in silence, observing everything around me. When I catch a glimpse of a beautiful butterfly, bird, or squirrel, I feel a surge of delight!
Each instance of our lives will never repeat itself in the same way again.
Rather than mourn those short windows in time, we can relish them by getting quiet, still, and noticing everything around us. Of course, we cannot capture every moment, but we can take a few minutes each day to sit and immerse ourselves in the present.
It is those times when we feel our hearts grow.
Second by second, time and space expand to let us get a view of the extraordinary right before our eyes. When we truly allow ourselves to take it all in, it changes our perspective on life.
