Cleaning, dusting, shining, giving away, putting away—these activities bring us joyfully into spring. As we prepare our hearts and homes for more light, let us find the miracles.
I began this week with a little spring cleaning. The joy I encountered left me speechless!
On Sunday, I wrote a very long list of activities. I often do this to muse about what I want to accomplish beyond my normal routine.
On a whim, I tucked the list into my basket of notebooks, journals, and books, put it in the closet, and stored my laptop in a cabinet. Allowing myself a clean slate was the key to unforeseen happiness.
Without the basket, papers, list, laptop, pens, and other objects calling my name every time I saw them, I moved on to other things.
