In this age of lightning-speed communication, we can touch hearts when we slow down with pencil and paper. Every week, I write one or two cards or send a small package to a friend or loved one.
It is like planting a seed with particles of my heart inside.
Written with care, thought, and intention, handwriting connects us to the physical world with grace. I received a card, two letters, and a lovely care package. What joy it brings to my heart to be open to the words of ones I love.
Over the last few years, the big gatherings in my family have stopped. I felt like I had lost touch with aunts, uncles, and cousins who only lived across town, but I never saw them.
Once I decided to reach out with handmade cards, conversations flowed and plans emerged.
