Celebrating Oracle’s Open Source Story at Kubecon 2023

Can we share our open source knowledge using games? Can we tell our open source story through lightning talks and a keynote from one of our executive VPs? Do we have two sessions accepted by KubeCon which will change how you think about K8s and scaling?

Yes. (Also — how do you ask such good questions?).

But really, one reason we love KubeCon (and have upped our sponsorship level) is because it lets us show a part of who we are that we don’t normally get to show.

Open source is all about collaboration, and when it comes to working together, it’s important to let your personality show. And that’s just what we plan to do this year.

To celebrate and demonstrate our love for open source, Oracle’s booth will be the best spot on the conference floor to —

• See Kubernetes/Observability/DB in action to make a video game, Pods of Kon, A fair use parody of Discs of Tron.

• Get to know our open source offerings by visiting our demo pods and witnessing their power first-hand

• Learn about Code Innovate, an in-house program we use to collaborate with developers like you to take your apps to the next level by leveraging the expertise of cloud and open source vets.

You’ll also be able to attend our two breakout sessions:

Finally, join us on November 7, 2023 10:15am — 10:20am CST by attending Mahesh Thiagarajan’s keynote address, “Achieving Performance, Security and Efficiency at Scale With Cloud-Native and Open Source.” Here, Mahesh will share Oracle’s experiences and insights with open source and announce new contributions we are making to the community.

Come for the games at our booth, stay for open source knowledge.
