ODP.NET Now Available with Free Use License — No More Click-Through

Now that Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) 21.3 is available, I’m happy to announce it uses the Oracle Free Use Terms and Conditions. This license makes it easier for you to distribute ODP.NET apps and eliminates the click-through requirement when downloading ODP.NET, such as during ODP.NET NuGet package installation in Visual Studio projects. This change further streamlines ODP.NET setup, installation, and distribution.

The license is available with ODP.NET 21.3 NuGet and Xcopy downloads and will continue to be part of those distribution package in future releases. We’re also incorporating the license with other ODAC components, including Oracle Entity Framework Core, Oracle Entity Framework 6, Oracle Providers for ASP.NET, and Oracle Provider for OLE DB, all starting with the 21c release.
