Every few months for, well, a little while now, Orange Digital was the host of a super cool event called ‘Wine & Cheese Night’. It was an event held at night where we had some wine and cheese. Oh right, you probably guessed that from the name.

However, it was about more than just wine and cheese. It was a chance to say thanks to our clients by hopefully letting them have an enjoyable night with our team in a relaxed environment. On top of that, we would also invite other connections from around Brisbane so more people got to know Orange Digital — and hopefully like us. We would even share some useful marketing industry content if we could squeeze that in somewhere between the eating of nice food and drinking refreshing beverages.

If you were ever invited to a Wine & Cheese Night please rest assured we were never trying to sell anything to anyone at those events. Hanging out with wonderful people was a chance to show how many wonderful people there are at Orange Digital.

The business motivation for it was that among the attendees might be some people that at some point would work either with or at Orange Digital. That’s the gist of it anyway.

Orange Variety Hour

Fast forward to 2020 and some things happened in the world that you may have seen in the news. Due to some of those things the ‘Wine & Cheese’ couldn’t happen in the way we were used to doing it. Rather than just sulk in a corner though we decided to come up with another plan.

That’s why we created a thing called “Orange Variety Hour” — not another webinar. In the ‘Variety Hour’ there was a thing called ‘Nuggets of Wisdom’. Remember how the Wine & Cheese Night used to involve some marketing industry content?! — Well, this is the equivalent of that bit.

This blog is about a video I created for this unconventional online event and it might be a bit weird and awkward but let’s roll with it.

Paraphrasing the video you’re about to watch: “Online content has never been as important as it is right now.”

So please, go on and watch this:
