Klaytn and HECO are now Origination Chains on Orbit Bridge
Over the past year, Orbit Chain has made huge contributions to various fields of the blockchain world such as advancement in cross-chain technology, establishment of decentralized governance, and expansion of the cross-chain DeFi ecosystems based around abundant liquidity, through enthusiastic support from various projects and users in the wider blockchain ecosystem.
Today, we are happy to announce that we are further integrated Klaytn and HECO (Huobi Eco Chain) as origination chains of Orbit Bridge. This means that Klaytn and HECO users are now able to bridge their tokens including KLAY and HT from their respective public chain to other blockchains. We expect this to draw an upward growth curve of Orbit Chain once more.
Orbit Chain has proved itself to be a standout cross-chain protocol in the DeFi space after launching Orbit Bridge. It is a fast, functioning bridge that’s bridged over $15B in assets in hundreds of thousands of transactions. The team, however, is not stopping with this achievement, but is expanding connectivity with even more new chains to establish Orbit Bridge as the go-to bridge protocol for cross-chain bridging across all major chains.
Indeed, the addition of these two chains will bring new economic benefits for our users and users of these chains. First, it will open up new opportunities in terms of accessibility and ease of use of multiple tokens in various mainnet DeFi ecosystems. Second, we expect that this continuous connection between chains will ultimately lead to more transactions and more value exchange on Orbit Chain and Orbit Bridge, which will allow the ORC token to gain more utility.
