New Initiative: ‘Silicon’

It is our pleasure to announce New Initiative ‘Silicon’, which we mentioned last week in our announcement ‘Orbit Bridge Exploit Asset Recovery and Ecosystem Normalization Plan (Draft)’.
After the unexpected exploit, we have undertaken a retrospective on Ozys’ identity. Our journey began in 2017 with research into Ethereum scalability, through incorporation, and to becoming a ‘leading blockchain tech company’ or ‘Web3 specialist’.
The focus of our early work was on technical research and solution development to enhance Ethereum’s scalability and interoperability, building infrastructure and products for EVM-based chains, and later expanding the pan-Ethereum ecosystem to include even the non-EVM chains, which resulted in monumental results.
Ozys has kept pace with the evolution of the Ethereum ecosystem, often referred to as the ‘Internet of the Future,’ while also playing a pivotal role as a gateway to the Korean Web3 market. Ozys successfully created the largest DeFi market in Asia by developing essential infrastructure and products of the blockchain ecosystem, connecting various blockchains, and securing global users and liquidity.
Furthermore, Ozys is not alone in the efforts to scale Ethereum ecosystem as the endeavour is being pursued globally. The focus has recently shifted to Layer 2 mainnets, which use Roll-ups to expand Ethereum’s scalability beyond sidechain-centric, EVM-compatible ecosystems. As follows, a substantial amount of liquidity has moved to ecosystems such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Base etc. As a result, we are witnessing an explosive growth of Layer 2 blockchains.
Against this backdrop, to meet the changing demands of the market, Ozys has been preparing for a new growth engine starting last year. Our plans may have partially changed as a result of the recent exploit, but our identity remains the same.
Now, with the capabilities we have gained over the years, through the ‘Internet of the Future, Silicon (tentative name)’, we seek to open up a broad vista of opportunities for the Korean Web3 ecosystem.
A new Layer 2 ecosystem is being built with ZK Rollups based on zero-knowledge proofs. Rollup, one of the scaling solutions connecting directly to Ethereum, provides a decentralized and secure environment aligned to that of Ethereum ecosystem.
Silicon is currently being developed with the goal of launching by the second quarter of 2024. Moreover, we intend to preemptively establish the essential infrastructure of the ‘Silicon Ecosystem’ and facilitate the influx of various tokens and content to create network effects and accelerate growth.
We are building a ‘dApp in App’ system that will leverage the synergies between Telegram Messenger’s rich social graph and web 3-friendly attributes and an ‘Accelerating Platform’(Web3 Quick Starter, tentative name) that will facilitate the entry of diverse suppliers into the ‘Silicon Ecosystem’. This will enable us to acquire global on-chain users and create a virtuous growth cycle for the ecosystem where users and suppliers can interact.
Ozys intends to normalize the Orbit ecosystem within two years using Silicon’s direct and indirect upsides.
