Hello, Orbit Chain community. This is OZYS, the developer of the Orbit Bridge service.

Following the completion of the security inspection for the Ripple vault on September 6th, the XRP bridge functionality has been resumed. During this process, modules such as the Tag module to support TON/Ripple networks and the dual withdrawal prevention verification module have been migrated to the “Silicon” mainnet.

Currently, the remaining tasks to fully restore the Orbit Bridge functions include the migration of Ethereum-based assets and the long-term lockup of stolen assets. These follow-up tasks will be carried out in stages, with the goal of completing them by the end of October.

We would like to share the follow-up plan for restoring the Orbit Bridge functionalities, breaking down the work into detailed steps and updating you on the progress at each stage.

1) Setting up and deploying the Silicon minter for non-Ethereum-based assets (1st week of October)

  • Once the Silicon minter is set up, assets from other networks can be bridged to the Silicon mainnet. By deploying the minter, various assets will be able to utilize the Orbit Bridge through the Silicon network after the Agglayer migration.

2) Migration of non-stolen Ethereum-based assets (excluding ORC Token) to Agglayer and linking to Silicon Vault (2nd week of October)

  • The existing Ethereum vault in Orbit Bridge is planned to be integrated with the Agglayer of the Polygon zk-Bridge.
  • This migration will be done in two stages for Ethereum-based assets, and the migration of non-stolen Ethereum-based assets will be prioritized in the 2nd week of October.

(1) After the migration, non-stolen Ethereum-based assets will be integrated with the Silicon Vault and can be transferred to networks like KAIA (Klaytn) via Orbit Bridge, labeled as “oAsset-S” (e.g., oGALA-S).

(2) Transfers between Ethereum (L1) and Silicon (L2) for non-stolen assets will be possible through the zk-Bridge.

(3) Further details regarding the ORC token, a non-stolen Ethereum-based asset, will be announced separately.

3) Migration of five stolen assets to Agglayer (2nd week of October)

  • Following that, the five stolen assets [ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI (USDS), WBTC] in the Ethereum vault will also be migrated to the Polygon zk-Bridge Agglayer.
  • These assets, previously used on networks like KAIA (Klaytn) and TON, will be transferable to the Silicon mainnet via Orbit Bridge, but as lockable oAssets (e.g., oUSDT in Silicon) rather than native assets.
  • For example, with USDT:
    * oUSDT in KAIA = oUSDT in Silicon
    * USDT in Ethereum = USDT in Silicon
    * USDT in Silicon ≠ oUSDT in Silicon

4) Launch of the long-term lock-up program for stolen assets’ oAssets (3rd week of October)

  • After the migration to the Agglayer, the five stolen assets’ oAssets [oETH, oUSDT, oUSDC, oDAI (oUSDS), oWBTC] can be bridged to the Silicon mainnet. Based on these assets, a long-term lock-up program for stolen assets will be launched through the Orbit Bridge.
  • For more details on the long-term lockup program, please refer to the previously shared guide : oAsset Lockup Incentive Plan (Draft)

Thank you.
