We are excited to announce that we will be joining BII’s Creation House Program, securing an additional 10M DKK (1.3M EUR) in financing. After winning the EIT Health’s Wild Card Challenge last year, this is another important step for us to ultimately achieve our goals.

Today we are thinking bigger

Orbit Health was founded with the idea that people living with chronic diseases are people first. Chronic conditions do not define who an individual is or will be. And because of this, we are focused on empowering those with chronic conditions to live their life to the fullest by taking a human-centric approach to remote monitoring and optimizing care. We are committed to leveraging the power of sensor and AI technologies to provide healthcare professionals, patients, and caretakers the ability to continuously and objectively monitor patients’ wellbeing, symptoms, treatment response, so early intervention and personalized care can be administered.

With the latest financing round, we plan on using the funds to further our efforts to advance Orbit Lab and promote a people-first approach to chronic care.

Optimizing treatment for Parkinson’s patients

Orbit’s first solution, Neptune, uses a smartwatch and deep-learning technology to enable treatment optimization to help people with Parkinson’s attain optimal symptom control and improve quality of life. With Orbit Lab, multiple digital health solutions can be orchestrated and applied to a single patient. Currently, Orbit collaborates with partners and is bringing Neptune and two other solutions from a siloed environment and integrates them into the routine clinical workflow to achieve more holistic patient care in Parkinson’s Disease. With this integration, physicians can monitor not only motor fluctuations but also gait quality and cognitive function.

Half the adult world population is suffering from a chronic disease and one-third has multiple chronic diseases. The number is expected to continue to rise. For this reason, many countries are looking to move chronic care to a digitally enabled proactive home-care model. The current digital health landscape is highly fragmented and with multiple chronic diseases, patients will likely require more than one digital solution. We want to make it easier for patients and healthcare professionals to utilize and ultimately benefit from innovative digital health solutions.
