You Might Want To See The Difference Between Earthly And Divine Love
And then remind yourself again and again
Most people alive today live for their earthly attachments. And that’s natural.
The Earth is full of animals and plants that depend on the bliss of physical connectedness. Humans are animals, not inherently “above” them.
And this is the reason most spiritual movements have failed.
The Indian freedom fighter Sri Aurobindo most bluntly expressed why, in his lectures on yoga:
“It is not a revolt against the British Government…(which is needed), it is, in fact, a revolt against the whole universal Nature.”
It’s silly to expect this to ever occur. The universe would collapse; only a fraction are meant to awaken, and even ignorance being present is essential to help them do that.
Earthly love is what sustains creation
It is natural to want to contract around human experience. To want tether and belonging. Deep and fulfilling and profound, earthly love can take as many forms and configurations as manifestation itself!
