Gaming community hub, NFT marketplace, and multi-metaverse platform Original Gamer Life or OGLife Lead Game Developer Carlos Bott was the featured guest for the AMA episode with the Bonus Round group. This AMA episode happened on 09 November 2022 at the Bonus Round Telegram channel. Carlos answered questions from the hosts and the community regarding the OGLife multi-metaverse platform, upcoming $OGL IDO launch plans, security measures in the platform, and more.

Here are some highlights from the Original Gamer Life and Bonus Round AMA episode:

Do you have a whitepaper with and a roadmap? On what stage or phase are you currently on?

Carlos Bott: Yes, we do have a whitepaper. However, this living document is in the process of being updated to reflect all the necessary changes made to the platform and project leading up to the $OGL IDO launch.

Our roadmap is available on our website and is updated from time to time to reflect shifting priorities because we want to ensure we deliver a real game and drive that token utility so everyone can have fun and earn while doing so. Visit our website for more information: https://ogl.gg/

Right now, we are in the development and Pre-IDO phase. Our main priority is releasing our space station metaverse platform and the $OGL IDO launch for the coming weeks. Stay tuned for that. 💯

So as you possibly know there are always issues with p2e games/ metaverses etc. p2e games tend to bring a lot of sell pressure cause of the lack of buy pressure/external revenue streams. Metaverses are still very new and some people even say its to early for mass adoption of metaverses. How will you solve some of these problems and what is your opinion on such comments? What are your external revenue streams to keep project sustainable for long term especially if there is time when volume gets low

Carlos Bott: Well, we are early. I think that if you have no gameplay and if your content is not fresh, even your followers will find it boring and not be here for the long run.

Here at OGLife, wanted to introduce “Play-to-Thrive” We combined the traditional gaming model of Free-to-Play with the decentralized finance gaming model of Play-to-Earn all tied together with fitness, cognitive, knowledge, social, and creative tasks to develop a new way of gaming in the metaverse / multi-metaverse. That’s the solution we thought of.

In terms of benefits in the OGLife platform, gamers will be able to generate revenue by playing the game. This revenue can be used to purchase in-game items, characters, and other digital assets. The key difference is that gamers will not have to invest a lot of time and effort to generate this revenue. They can do so by simply playing the game. The OGLife platform will provide a new model for microtransactions that is more inclusive and rewarding for all players.

Now to answer your question, we’re still reviewing external revenue streams in the platform but all of that may be possible once the platform has been launched and the functionalities have been developed.

My next question will be about the network you plan to launch on? Are you gonna be on BSC/ETH? Any particular reason for choosing that certain network?

Carlos Bott: We will be native to the Polygon Network to host our metaverse game, while our treasury and liquidity pool will reside on Ethereum.

Now, for the reason why we chose Polygon. Speed, versatility, scalability, and most of all gas fees are critical considerations of choosing the right chain. We chose to partner with Polygon due to the security of BSC but with the efficiencies in gas fees in comparison to ETH. We will expand out that footprint and probably head over to ETH / SOL and, eventually, into BSC.
