Developing a blockchain-supported platform calls for new thinking, but it also requires wisdom for bringing together different aspects of business and technology and joining them in a way that will best serve the users dealing with currently opaque supply chains. OriginTrail team has already implemented several food traceability projects in recent years, which helped premium food brands transparently communicate the origin of their products.

Bringing this expertise to the blockchain and making it applicable for all product supply chains is an ambitious step forward. Seamless and trusted data sharing is a mission that includes various stakeholders. It needs to take into account both technology standards as well as business relations between partners in a supply chain. To help us on our mission and make us achieve our goals more quickly, I am pleased to introduce our project advisors. They share our belief that transparency is the new norm for better safety and quality of products we use every day.

John G. Keogh is a respected global authority and advisor on end-to-end supply chain integrity and the application of supply chain standards and technologies. His advisory work is especially focused on food chain issues relating to policy, consumer safety, traceability, recall, brand protection and anti-counterfeit. Mr. Keogh advises industry, NGOs, associations, governments, and intergovernmental agencies. His current research is focused on product information transparency and consumer trust in food chains.

Srdjan Krčo, PhD is an internationally recognized Internet-of-Things (IoT) expert who is working on the development of IoT technologies and their application in the smart cities and smart agriculture domains. He is combining his engineering and business expertise to promote the design of open solutions, empowering users to create more efficient and sustainable environments. Dr. Krčo is a Board member of the International IoT Forum, a member of the Alliance for IoT Innovation (AIOTI) and winner of the Innovation Engineer of the Year 2007 in the Republic of Ireland.

Larger projects include complex supply chain integration in medical and aerospace sectors. He founded and supported several successful organizations ranging from business consulting to medical device production, renewable energy, and agriculture.

Advisors’ input and early feedback will be of great value for developing a platform that will be the best solution for complex supply chains worldwide.

But of course, any feedback from the community will be of immense value as well. Join the discussion on our newly opened public Slack and sign up for updates on OriginTrail’s upcoming token sale!
