OriginTrail Launches Open Call
At OriginTrail, we believe that the power of decentralized solutions will deliver value to a large variety of use cases. We aim to identify and empower teams who are working to solve supply chain challenges and will utilize the OriginTrail protocol to achieve data integrity.
The purpose of the Open Call is to support development and deployment of supply chain and other applications, which utilize the OriginTrail protocol and will run on the OriginTrail Decentralized Network (ODN). The goal of the Open Call is to put 10 relevant scalable use cases to the ODN.
Benefits of Participating in the Open Call
Ten promising projects selected by OriginTrail TRAC token holders will receive a total of 135,000 USD worth of awards in TRAC tokens, mentorship, and other support for building solutions on top of the OriginTrail Decentralized Network (ODN). Since OriginTrail values its community and wants to give them a chance to participate in the Open Call, TRAC token holders will have the opportunity to select projects that will receive the rewards. The Open Call application period is open until November 23rd, 2018.
By joining the Open Call, you will be able to compete for:
- Up to 30,000 USD worth of incentives in TRAC tokens;
- Mentorship by the OriginTrail team (online and on-site workshops with the core development team);
- Exposure of your project in the OriginTrail ecosystem.
The winning team will receive an award of 30,000 USD in TRAC tokens, a live workshop with our team and an online mentorship program.
Teams that come in second and third will receive 20,000 USD and 15,000 USD in TRAC, respectively, as well as additional perks. All other selected teams will receive 10,000 USD worth of TRAC, which will enable them to run their solutions on the OriginTrail Decentralized Network.
Open Call Application Process and Criteria
We welcome start-ups, enterprises, research institutes, IT companies, and other initiatives to apply via OriginTrial’s Open Call website. The OriginTrail Open Call aims to identify solutions with high market potential and help onboard them to the OriginTrail Decentralized Network. Each applicant needs to propose one solution or service from one of the following categories:
- Supply chain integrity,
- Supply chain management,
- Trade finance,
- Data ownership
- Compliance,
- All other fields with viable use cases in terms of the Open Call and appropriate use of technology.
The application deadline is November 23rd, 2018.
The Open Call selection process consists of several phases as indicated in the timeline below. We will work with selected teams throughout December 2018, and in Q1 2019, until they successfully deploy their projects on the OriginTrail Decentralized Network.
