Parity Technologies joins Trace Alliance’s working group on decentralization and tokenomics
Polkadot facilitates an internet where independent blockchains can exchange information and transactions in a trustless way via the Polkadot relay chain. There have been a plethora of recent developments within the Polkadot ecosystem, including the successful transition of the Polkadot network towards the mainnet launch. This marks an important milestone as the key value propositions of the network are becoming fully available for the Polkadot community, which now extends to the Trace Alliance as well.
“Parity Technologies is looking forward to working with the Trace Alliance to further our vision for a new internet where blockchains and trustless technologies foster new innovations and growth online. Our work on Polkadot is integral to this goal, and ensuring that it is well understood and supported by organizations like this is crucial to ensuring its success.” Fabian Gompf, VP of Technology Partnerships
“The vast technical experience in building decentralized infrastructure that the Parity team brings with them is an important addition to the Trace Alliance partnership. Trace Alliance shares a lot of the same values in terms of what blockchain-based technology should deliver to the world and similarities in the used approaches to implementation at different layers, so there is great potential for synergies between members. This can unlock new value for businesses, governments, and researchers globally.” Branimir Rakić, CTO at Trace Labs — core developers of OriginTrail
As Parity Technologies joins the Trace Alliance partnership, another important development reaches a milestone. As of today, September 9th, the first Trace Alliance working group, “Decentralization and Tokenomics,” has been launched. The focus of the working group is to find innovative solutions to bring the OriginTrail ecosystem closer to the vision of blockchain agnosticism. As written in the OriginTrail whitepaper (2017):
OriginTrail supports many different blockchain implementations. The current version of OriginTrail utilizes the Ethereum blockchain to provide proof of concept and initial implementation. The fully developed solution will provide interfaces to many different blockchains.
Representing Parity Technologies in the working group will be Fabian Gompf, VP of Technology Partnerships. The first task of the working group will be to ensure OriginTrail consensus layer scalability requirements of the fast-growing adoption which includes S&P 500 companies, EU consortia, and the leading standards body using the OriginTrail Decentralized Knowledge Graph. The newly started group is expected to deliver the first report of the working group’s deliberations as early as October. Stay tuned for this significant update!
