Trust Thy AI: Artificial Intelligence Base-d with OriginTrail
With tens of billions invested in AI last year and leading players such as OpenAI looking for trillions more, the tech industry is racing to grow large generative AI models. The Verifiable Internet for AI shifts this paradigm, making such data transactions transparent on chain with ownership of data taken back by users, who ultimately get to monetize it.

The recently introduced OriginTrail Paranets (user-controlled on-chain knowledge graphs), enable users total control over their data, connecting it into the DKG decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN), while keeping it safely stored on their devices. Users are then able to choose from a growing selection of open-source AI systems integrated with OriginTrail via ChatDKG.ai, a launchpad for user-controlled AI.
Knowledge graphs with paranets enable transparent on-chain reputation, relevance scoring with PageRank, recommendation engines, graph neural networks, and other AI reasoning applications.
The first of such knowledge graphs to launch on Base is the DeSci paranet for autonomous scientific research by ID Theory, crowdsourcing knowledge assets utilizing on-chain reputation via the OriginTrail DKG.

One of the first dapps deployed on the DeSci paranet on Base will be the DeSci AI agent, which will include a knowledge mining interface through which scientific knowledge will be minted on chain, with publishers receiving token incentives.
