Just a painful reminder that there are many Christians in Iraq who are suffering tremendously for their faith. Assyrians including Orthodox and Chaldeans, love Christ tremendously, and anybody who knows about Jesus and is willing to take up their cross and follow him like this, is a Martyr.

Blessed are you Ashur, nonetheless, please pray for us when you see Christ. Infact, instead of painful reminder, perhaps a joyous one, because Ashur, whether or not Orthodox, have followed the faith of the apostles in believing who Christ was, and willing to die and not convert. He is a hero, and through his martyrdom, now he shall reach the heavenly bossom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is a hero trampling down the evil principalities of this world.
