  • (Axelar-bridged) USDC can now be used as a transaction fee token on Osmosis!
  • Osmosis upgraded tokenomics are currently in voting! Proposals #484, #485, and #486, if passed, will reduce the OSMO emission rate, lower inflation, increase real yield for staking and LP, and increase the amount of superfluid staked OSMO.

Token Listings

As a permissionless protocol, any IBC-enabled asset may be transferred onto the Osmosis chain, however a few steps are needed to list a token on the Osmosis.zone front end. Here are some of the newest listings.

  • FLIX: the native staking token of OmniFlix Hub
  • NCT: Carbon credit-backed tokens from Regen
  • FRNZ: A token redeemable for a friendship bracelet, issued by Noble
  • QCK: The staking and governance token of Quicksilver
  • qOSMO: Liquid staked OSMO from Quicksilver
  • qSTARS: Liquid staked STARS from Quicksilver
  • qATOM: Liquid staked ATOM from Quicksilver

Liquidity Pool Incentives

Liquidity pool incentives are rewards for bonding liquidity into specific liquidity pools on Osmosis. Incentives must be approved by a governance vote. Incentives, as well as staking rewards, are released every day at roughly 17:30 UTC.

Superfluid Staking

Superfluid staking (SFS) allows users to stake their bonded LP tokens. This option is available for OSMO pools that are bonded for 14 days. For more info, check out What is Superfluid Staking?
