Hornet Reaches 4400 Mainnet Users of LGBT Tokens powered by OST — @ostdotcom @hornet delivering on utility, usage, and mainstream blockchain adoption

Hornet is a gay social network with more than 25 million users and 1 million weekly users worldwide. In July 2019 Hornet began rolling out LGBT Tokens powered by OST to initial beta testers.

The LGBTt wallet is seamlessly integrated into Hornet using the OST Wallet SDK. Session Keys enable users to not have to manually sign each micro-transaction, providing for a smooth user experience — so easy to use, users don’t even need to know it’s crypto.

In the past couple of weeks usage of LGBT Tokens has grown considerably, up 700% — there are now nearly 4500 active users who have earned LGBTt, more than 1000 of them have also spent the tokens in-app, in more than 15,000 mainnet transactions.

LGBT Tokens are ERC-20 Ethereum tokens powered by OST Technology. LGBT Tokens run on OST’s Ethereum Layer-2 blockchains, and can only be used in authorized apps and with authorized merchants. The value of LGBT Tokens is derived by staking $OST Tokens. 1 LGBTt = 0.1 $OST. Hornet users earn LGBTt as rewards for certain in-app actions and can spend LGBTt on premium services and to further LGBT causes.

Following successful beta trials, Hornet is expanding the release of LGBT Tokens to its entire community group including translators, moderators, and content creators. The rollout of LGBT Tokens to all community members marks Phase II of cryptocurrency adoption for Hornet. This also paves the way for Hornet to soon retire its previous ‘Hornet Perks’ Program for community members.
