Tell us about yourself!
I was born and raised in Pune, India. I completed my degree in information technology from Pune University. In the last quarter of 2013, then started my career as an iOS developer at a Hyderabad-based startup called Silverlabs. I joined the OST team in 2017 as an iOS developer for the Pepo application. I have worked on many applications, including video messaging, social media applications, and mobile games. I enjoy swimming, trekking, traveling, and exploring new places.
What excites you about blockchain?
Blockchain is a peer-to-peer way of communicating that puts more control in the hands of users because no trusted intermediary is required. I am excited by the potential of blockchain for mobile applications. It can increase the security of storage, the security of transmission of encoded data, and the security of cryptography. Its peer-to-peer nature allows for it to be used in various industries endlessly. Blockchain holds the potential to challenge and make a huge difference in today’s governance framework.
What do you do as a software engineer at OST?
I develop software with the appropriate architecture and coding standards. I strive for agile development. I look after various device-based security features and determine whether they satisfy our requirements. If a feature meets our requirements, then we can integrate it. I look at all the aspects of a product and determine how to integrate it with the OST architecture. Our products must satisfy all UI-UX requirements before we deliver them. And all within the desired time frame.
What products, developer tools, and protocols do you work with?
I am currently working on the mobile wallet SDK for OST’s partner companies. It’s a device-based SDK that allows partners to seamlessly integrate OST-powered blockchain technology into their applications. It helps applications communicate with the blockchain via various workflows. Prior to working on the mobile wallet SDK, I worked on OST VIEW, which is a blockchain explorer, and OST KYC, which is a KYC management solution. In regard to protocols, we are facilitating EIP-712 signing and EIP-1077 signing on mobile devices.
What do you look forward to this year?
I look forward to seeing project pilots live with the mobile wallet SDK. Many applications will use the mobile wallet SDK. I am also looking forward to improving the SDK’s usability with advanced blockchain functionalities on devices, and to revamping wallet security by integrating device-specific security, if required. There are many more exciting projects that are lining up — let’s see how it all goes!
Thank you, Aniket!
