People of OST: Shraddha Patil, Software Engineer
Shraddha joined OST as a front end developer. She likes learning new front-end technologies and developing applications for mobile and web. Her interests include front-end technologies, full stack, and android development. She completed her Engineering degree in Computer Science from PICT.
Tell us about yourself!
I’m originally from Nashik, India. I completed my high school and junior college there. I’m currently based in Pune, I moved here for my undergraduate studies. I completed my Bachelors of Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT). After graduation, I immediately joined OST as a front end developer. It’s been a little over a year since I joined OST and it’s been a great experience building web applications and working with the whole team.
What front end products do you work on?
All my work is around front end technologies. I work on the OST website and OST Platform, which provides businesses with everything they need to test and deploy their own brand currency of actual value. Apart from this, I’ve been working on OST VIEW, our very own block explorer. Recently, we started working on the Pepo app, a crypto-based platform where people from various professions and backgrounds can showcase their work and earn appreciation in Pepo Coins. It’s been wonderful working on this new project based on React Native.
Have you learned any new skills while at OST?
In regards to the technical skills, I have learned various aspects of front end development, including basic programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I have also learned about various libraries built on front end frameworks, like React Native and supplementary enhancements such as page load optimization and search engine optimization. Apart from these technical skills, I developed perseverance and teamwork, working with a really enthusiastic team.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on the OST website. We have a very interesting section coming up on the site. The team is planning to showcase various prototypes and use cases on our homepage in a very interactive manner with a really cool design. In the coming weeks, I’ll be working on the OST home page. I’ll be switching between working on the Pepo application and OST.com web pages as required.
