Eight Bit produces a wide range of anime from sci-fi action to slice-of-life using 3DCG, and 11 years after its founding in 2008 the studio continues to release hit after hit, including Infinite Stratos, Encouragement of Climb, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

The studio’s newest anime is an adaptation of Oshi ga Budokan Ittekuretara Shinu that has been long-awaited by fans of the original manga. The anime will tell the story of female idol otaku Eripyo and the lengths she goes in order to support her favorite idol, Maina.

We sat down for an interview with CEO Tsutomu Kasai to discuss Eight Bit’s anime and creating an anime production company.
