Our sympathies go out to everyone who lost their lives in the tragedy that took place at Kyoto Animation, and our deepest condolences go out to the bereaved families and staff. To everyone injured, we wish you a speedy recovery.
To everyone at Kyoto Animation:
Since this tragedy we on the Otaku Coin Association have been wondering if there is anything we can do. Due to the circumstances involved, there is a chance that unsolicited actions on our part might cause further distress. Nonetheless, just simply waiting for more information is frustrating, and we have been wracking our brains for something that surely we can do.
We feel strongly that the only thing we can do at this time is to convey our feelings of love for Kyoto Animation.
Beautiful works that sparkle with characters who connect with the hearts of viewers, music that resounds with emotion, animation so fluid it looks like you could jump right into it — each and every one of Kyoto Animation’s works has touched our hearts, and that’s thanks to the amount of talented staff they have fostered.
Kyoto Animation continues to create wonderful works, and we will continue to support them now and always. We love you, KyoAni.
Hopefully, this is the first and last time such a tragedy occurs. Once again, from the bottom of our hearts we’d like to express our deepest condolences to everyone affected by these terrible events.
