Interested in writing for Otaku Tribune?

Please send pitches to otakutribune at protonmail.com.

In your email, please include the following:

— a clear and concise pitch (please keep it to no more than 3 paragraphs)
— a few sentences about yourself and why you are the person to write this essay
— links to relevant prior writing clips (so for example, if you are pitching about an anime, include other things you’ve written about anime. If you want to write about an anime film, but only have clips about films in other genres, it would be best to include those, not your clips about sports).

Please send pitches that offer critical analysis and insight into otaku-related topics. Though Otaku Tribune will run reviews from time to time, those pitching stories to OT should dig deeper than more traditional, straightforward content reviews.

It is very important to read the site to familiarize yourself with the type of writing Otaku Tribune is looking for and to make sure the topics discussed align with your analytical expertise, critical lens, values, etc.

Lastly, in order to write for Otaku Tribune, you must have a Medium account.

Looking forward to reading your pitches!
