200,000 dead in America.
I saw my country
Like a spider sucking blood from insect
Dried up shriveled insect
Nothing more to give.
200,000 dead in America.
Cling to god but
Could god’s colossal arms shelter us from disease and war?
Or does he remain absent as before
On his seat of judgement
Saving only those that pray the hardest
While the meek and mild perish
And the supposed flock stays remaining garish.
200,000 dead in America.
Where is your god now if he loves all?
And where was he before as disease and war
Marched down the hall
Where was god when this country’s king said,
Standing tall —
“No worries should befall
Protections are not needed
Science lies. Worship Jesus.
All you need is to believe
Pray it away, drink some bleach.”
200,000 dead in America…
But the flu is worse?
