You literally don’t see it coming…
You can’t smell it.
You can’t feel it.
You also can’t stop it.
You will love it, and then you will hate it.
Some ignore its presence.
Some will claim courageousness in the face of it.
Some say they will fight the moment they see it.
Some will cry, be disgusted or ashamed during that fight.
If you’re living with blinders, you will run right into it like a wild animal onto a trap.
We celebrate its coming, but
We pay to keep it at bay.
We get intoxicated at the thought of facing it.
We all want its benefits, without the costs
We tell people their efforts are winning, when we can see they’re losing
It’s a curse, but a gift…
It’s feared and revered.
Very few laugh in the face of it and don’t care…
Winning the fight means losing everything else.
Aging is a part of life.
