Rick Santorum 2016

Rick Santorum is a candidate that I have seen tour Iowa consistently for the nine or ten months. This candidate understands the importance of the Iowans vote. In 2012, Rick won over the voters of Iowa, though the original call was Mitt Romney. I believe had there been an accurate count done the first time, Rick would have come on to win the nomination, and could have stopped Obama from a second term. Rick Santorum is currently one candidate that I do not see changing his tune at all. If anyone watches the news closely, they will know that some of our candidates are good at changing their stories, and are not being called out on it.

Ted Cruz is one of those candidates that may be a smooth talker, but microphones pick up what he is saying in every state. In Iowa, Cruz says that Same Sex marriage is not constitutional but in New Hampshire has a different stance. Which is it Mr. Cruz? Are you for ending same-sex marriage or are you going to leave it up to the states? I do not want to vote for a candidate who cannot get his story straight. Even though that may seem like a small inconsistency, Cruz is still flipflopping when it is convenient.

One thing that is apparent to me when going over the news is that the media is not showing the true democrat. Hillary has several experiences in politics and has failed miserably in all of those appointments. Bernie Sanders wants to give us everything for free. How do we cover those expenses? Why is capitalism treated like the devil? The United States is absolutely exceptional in creating very wealthy individuals. The average wealthy individual is not a trust fund baby but a small business owner who has worked their tail off. Endless hours starting businesses from nothing and providing jobs for many other Americans. Yet, capitalism is evil? No, hard work is not a task that many of our youth feel is needed. Give it to me for free! I want a free college education. I want free food, free housing, free medical care, and anything that can give them an easier ride for life. When you work hard for you what you have, you appreciate it much more.

Rick Santorum has not gone against any statement he has made. He has stood firm on his marriage stance, right to life views, religious beliefs, work ethic, foreign policy is solid, tax reform proposals, and is quite realistic about the needed change in this country. I want a leader who does not scare me. I need a leader who really wants to protect the American people. I demand a leader who will follow the Constitution and not use executive order every time he feels like it. The current president has completely done whatever he pleases with little worry of retaliation. Oh and I would also love a President whose golf game gets worse rather than better during his time in office. Just a thought.
